Musical madness

Anything Goes was terrific. Lots of fun, great set & costumes, silly storyline, fabulous songs - I Get A Kick OUt of You, De-Lovely, Anything Goes, Blow Gabriel Blow - and a great cast. And one awesome tap routine. Sutton Foster was great as the brassy Reno Sweeny and Joel Grey was impish as Moonface Martin Public Enemy no. 13.

How to Succeed in Business... Without Really Trying was lots of fun - although the music was a bit disappointing considering it was written by the same man who did Guys & Dolls. But the storyline was fun, the costumes gorgeous - very Mad Men / 1950s glam. Daniel Radcliffe - yes Harry Potter - was great - in fact better than I was excpecting  as J Pierpont Finch the young man making his way to the top of World Wide Wickets - and again lots of great dancing, fab 50s international style set.

Tonight I'm off to see Wonderland - whcih is a revisitation of the Alice in Wonderland story. And after two stellar shows I am expecting big things. Both AG & HTSIB... got standing full ovations from the audiences. Not sure if this is because Broadway audiences are generous and wanting to be charmed or if its peer pressure or just damn fine performances - probbably a bit of all 3.
